ANCHORAGE — In addition to arresting 45 people wanted on outstanding warrants in “operation gangbusters” police in Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough made some discoveries.

The Anchorage Daily News reports officers found a runaway girl and recovered two stolen guns, an illegal sawed-off shotgun and two stolen snowmachines.

Anchorage Sgt. Kathy Lacey says officers also dismantled two marijuana grow operations and caught a suspected methamphetamine dealer.

More than 100 officers from 16 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies conducted the three-day sweep last week, serving misdemeanor and felony arrest warrants.
