ANCHORAGE - Local bands held a five-hour benefit concert Sunday night in Anchorage for wounded police Officer Jason Allen.

Donations from the event at Chilkoot Charlie's will help Allen's family pay expenses or reward tipsters.

Investigators are still looking for whoever shot Allen five times Jan. 9 as he sat in his patrol car in a residential neighborhood.

The Anchorage Daily News reports police believe Allen was targeted because he's a police officer.

The Anchorage Police Department Employees Association is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and successful prosecution. The Anchorage Education Association, a teachers union, is contributing $1,000 to the reward and family funds.
