There are new faces in each of the offices of the Juneau legislative delegation for the new legislative session, but most of the names will be familiar to those who have dealt with the delegation in the past.
In Mendenhall Valley Rep. Cathy Muñoz’ office in room 403, Bonnie Gruening will greet visitors. She’s a veteran of the Legislature, and will be handling constituent relations and scheduling duties.
Returning for one more session working for Muñoz are Chief of Staff Kendra Kloster and Terry Harvey. Muñoz chairs the Community and Regional Affairs Committee, and Harvey will staff that committee.
In downtown and Douglas Rep. Beth Kerttula’s office, visitors will be greeted by Pamela James from Angoon. She’s an intern with the Tlingit-Haida vocational technology training program.
Also new this session is Mark Gnadt, House Democratic Press Secretary, who works out of Kerttula’s office, and Ken Alper, who will work on oil and gas issues.
Continuing on this year are Staff Counsel Hannah McCarty and Chief of Staff Aurora Hauke.
In Sen. Dennis Egan’s office, the new face will be Chester Carson, who will greet visitors at the front desk and assist Egan with transportation issues.
Egan’s other staff are all returning, including Chief of Staff Alida Bus, who will also work on energy issues and health and social service issues, Dana Owen, staffing the Labor and Commerce Committee Egan chairs, and Jesse Kiehl, Egan’s finance committee aide.
