ANCHORAGE — Alaska authorities say a 29-year old man is charged with attempted murder after he spit a dangerous bodily fluid on a hospital worker.
Charges filed Tuesday against Andre LaFrance of Wasilla also include harassment.
State troopers were notified Monday morning after the assault at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Troopers say LaFrance “intentionally transferred a dangerous bodily fluid” onto the worker.
LaFrance was arrested and is being held on $50,000 bail.
Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters says she can not release information about LaFrance because of medical confidentiality issues.
Hospital spokeswoman Kerry Aguirre says she does not have details of the case.
Charging documents are not immediately available.
