How long: He's been doing art since he was eight.

All in the family: His uncle draws animals, samurais and ninjas. It "looked good," so Franky wanted to try it too. His aunts also draw and paint.

Favorite artists: Franky likes C.S. Lewis and "Chronicles of Narnia," "Star Wars" and action movies.

Activities: He plays soccer.

Future plans: He'll take drawing classes in high school and middle school. He want to draw cartoons and books. He wants to be a cartoon artist or an illustrator.

You should know: Franky can cook bacon and eggs.

His principal, Carmen Katasse, says: "Since Franky was in kindergarten, I've enjoyed watching him love drawing and books. He is a good friend and a big brother."

His art teacher, Heather Ridgway, says: "Franky really revels in the quiet focus of detail drawing. He likes the subtle qualities of pencil and gets frustrated with markers, but he's still game. He tries new things and does his best."
