Nebraska student desires AK info

Bryan Stanley, a fourth-grade student at Riley Elementary School in Lincoln, Neb., requests brochures and postcards, information about wildlife, sports, interesting places to visit, rocks and leaves to complete a class project on Alaska.

SERRC to offer free English classes

South East Regional Resource Center's Adult Education Center offers free English classes starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 23.

Classes will be taught from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Volunteers sought for health fair

The Juneau Public Health Fair will be held April 21 and 22. Alaska Health Fair is seeking hardworking, behind-the-scenes volunteers to help organize the fair. The first planning meeting is noon to 1 p.m., Feb. 2, at the downtown public library.
