JUNEAU — U.S. Rep. Don Young has voted to repeal the federal health care overhaul, calling it “the single worst piece of legislation” he’s seen in nearly 40 years in Congress.
The Alaska Republican joined with the majority Wednesday to repeal the year-old legislation. This comes in spite opposition to repeal in the Senate, and a veto threat by the president.
In a statement, Young called the bill a “huge step towards the socialization of our society,” and said it did not resemble true reform. Rather, he called it a “fraud, plain and simple.”
