Juneau resident Cynthia ``Cyndie'' Furber, 41, died Jan. 4, 2000, in Boston, Mass., of cancer.
She was born June 15, 1958, in Orange, Calif., and attended schools there. She later attended college in Guam.
She moved to Juneau in 1998, and worked as a salesperson at Valley Auto Parts and as the manager of Penske Automotive Station.
She loved to dance, and she danced in the Juneau performance of the ``Nutcracker'' ballet in November.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffery W. Furber of Juneau, her mother Patricia D. Mattison and father Benjamin ``Charlie'' Mattison of Juneau, sisters Martha Turner of Juneau and Rebecca Mattison of Riverside, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 9055 Atlin Drive. In lieu of flowers, those attending are asked instead to donate to a charity of their choice.
