Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

• A stereo and a gas card were reported stolen from an unlocked 1989 Chevy Blazer at 8:30 a.m. Monday near Livingston Way. A $3,000 airplane part in the back of the vehicle was damaged.

• A gray jacket and a silver Nokia cell phone were reported taken from an unlocked 1989 Chevy pickup at 6 p.m. Monday near Glacier Avenue.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A window on a parked 1998 Mazda was reported broken at 8 a.m. Monday near Radcliffe Road and the airport dike trailhead.

• A windshield was reported damaged at 11:15 a.m. Monday near Willoughby Avenue.

Vehicle accidents:

• At 12:30 p.m. Monday near Egan and Riverside Drive a woman, 50, was cited for failure to yield. Her 1997 Honda Civic rear-ended a 1999 van driven by a man, 44. The Honda had about $5,000 damage.

Other:

• A red suitcase containing clothing, found near Conifer Lane, was turned in to the police at 1:45 p.m. Monday.
