Huckabee coming to Alaska on cruise

JUNEAU — In a statement, the conservative and potential 2012 presidential candidate says he’s participating in an “Alaska Freedom Cruise.”

The cruise, slated for early June, is also set to feature Christian musical artists. It is being organized by Frank Arnold Presents, which puts on Southern gospel concerts.

It’s not clear whether Huckabee will be making any public appearances in Alaska. An e-mail message sent to the former Arkansas governor’s PAC wasn’t immediately returned Thursday.

Huckabee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are among the Republicans considered as possible contenders for the party’s presidential nomination next year.
