Former Juneau resident Mary Agnes Secrist, 67, died Jan. 7, 2003, at a Fort Worth, Texas, hospice.
She was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Dublin, Ireland, to the late Christopher and Bridget Morris. Orphaned as a child, she emigrated to Alaska in the early 1950s to live with relatives in Juneau, the late Timothy and Anna O'Day. She raised her family in Juneau and was a clerk for the state Department of Public Safety, and in 1986 moved to Weatherford, Texas, with her husband, Richard Secrist.
Her family said she was wonderfully gifted with her hands and enjoyed needlepoint, crochet and loved a good jigsaw puzzle.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Christina Bridget Campbell.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Richard Secrist of Weatherford; daughters Colleen Campbell and partner Jennifer Mannix of Juneau; Catherine Walkotten and fiance William Featherstone of Weatherford; Shannon Pusich and husband Michael of Snoqualmie, Wash.; Patricia Marko and husband Kenneth of Corinth, Texas; brother Christopher Morris and wife Phyllis of Dublin; and grandchildren Christopher and Meagan Walkotten, Kalyn and Ryan Marko, Lauren, Allyson and Kevin Pusich, and Nicole Campbell Mannix.
