Chambers to manage Silverbow Bagels: Jilneth, LLC, owner of the Silverbow Inn, Bakery, Restaurant and Catering, recently announced the promotion of Denise Chambers to the position of manager at Silverbow Bagels.
Chambers is a graduate of Washington State University with a degree in education. She has worked for Silverbow for six months. She is in charge of daily operations, including ordering supplies, inventory and work scheduling. She lives on a boat and volunteers for Perseverance Theatre.
Moving to Juneau was "a whim," Chambers said. "I got done with college and wanted to move around, and I'm a small-town girl. So I said, 'I'm moving to Alaska!' "
Dean appointed national sales representative: Analytica Alaska Environmental Laboratories, which has offices in Juneau and Anchorage, recently announced the appointment of Tim Dean to the position of national sales representative.
Dean will be responsible for generating sales revenues and developing new business in Alaska, Washington state and Hawaii. With more than six years of experience in direct technical sales, customer service and contract negotiations, Dean will also assume a lead role in account management and customer support for both of the Alaska-based laboratories.
New career services specialist: Megan Bingold is the new career services specialist for the University of Alaska Southeast.
Bingold helps students interested in campus jobs, summer employment, and internships and also provides career counseling, workshops and resume-writing assistance. She recently organized the Summer Employment Career Fair held Jan. 16 on campus, and is available to present career services information in classrooms.
Bingold, 24, was raised in Portland, Ore., attended college in Florida, and then worked in human resources at a software company in San Francisco. She first saw Juneau two years ago on a cruise, she said. For details, call 465-6368.
CCCS reappoints board members: Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Alaska announces the recent reappointment of the following members of its board of directors: Ken Baker, Jim Crary, Russ Reno, Fred Traber and Alice White. In addition, Kathy Porterfield was reappointed treasurer; Alice White, secretary; and Annie Heffele, recording secretary.
