Thanks for supporting our finance class

Posted: Wednesday, January 23, 2008

The Juneau-Douglas High School finance and investing class extends a sincere thank you to members of the Juneau business community for their time and contributions to the fall semester class.

Thank you to Lloyd Johnson, of First National Bank of Alaska; Patty Ray, of True North Federal Credit Union; Cathy Johnson, of Residential Mortgage; Rich Fernandez, of the Associated Credit Agency; Laura Achee, of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corp.; Jer Hamey, of Hamey Financial; and Peter Jurasz, of the JSL Group, Smith Barney.

Partnerships with the business community enrich our high school business program, and we appreciate your commitment. Many schools throughout the United States require students to take a finance and investing class to meet their graduation requirements. While not required in Juneau, students are encouraged to enroll in this valuable class.

Cynthia Pastorino

Business teacher, Juneau-Douglas High School
