My name is Kate Stears and I got my glasses when I was 3 and in preschool. I am now 11 years old.
My mom and dad would have never known that I needed glasses, but luckily the Mendenhall Flying Lions volunteered their time to take pictures of the kids’ eyes in my preschool.
My mom filled out the form my and when I got my test results back, the box that was checked was “normal,” then it was scribbled out and checked “not normal.” The suggestion box said, “go see an eye doctor.”
Mom set an eye appointment with her eye doctor Dr. Forest Messershmit and he told my mom I needed glasses. Mom ordered my glasses and a couple weeks later they came.
That was the story about how I got my glasses, and thank you very much Mendenhall Flying Lions.
