Juneau resident Jeanne Anne Willard died Jan. 18, 2002, in Anchorage.
She was born June 17, 1947, in Oregon City, Ore., to Harry and Frances Chamberlain. She graduated from high school in Springfield, Ore., and was married in 1966. She raised her daughter Angela in the Springfield area, and worked in the logging industry until she moved to Alaska in 1982. She ran the Unique Boutique in Thorne Bay until her home was destroyed by fire in 2000. She then moved to Juneau to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
Her family remembers that she loved the Lord, enjoyed observing Christian and Jewish traditions and liked to spend time outdoors, making handcrafted items, studying genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Daniel J. Chamberlain.
She is survived by daughter Angela Perez and her husband Chris, Juneau; sister Brenda Lester and her husband Emory, California; brother Wesley Chamberlain, Oregon; brother Randy Chamberlain and his wife, Oregon; sister Kathy Eames and her husband Barry, Oregon; five grandchildren, and several cousins and nieces and nephews.
