Thanks for making Love INC's auction fundraiser a success

Love In the Name of Christ extends a hearty thank you to the individuals and businesses that made a huge success of its fifth annual Dessert Auction fundraiser on Nov. 20.

Through your work and donations, you made it possible for Love INC to continue helping those in need in our community.

First we want to thank our sponsors, who went above and beyond in supporting the ministry of Love INC: Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska, Mommy N Me Wear, Cape International, Taku Oil Sales, MAC Services, and Udder Culture.

Thanks also to Shepherd of the Valley Church, Chapel by the Lake, Breakthrough and Crossroads, for sharing their talented musicians, and to Phil Burgard, our most excellent auctioneer.

Through the community's support, Love INC will continue to operate its clearinghouse and gap ministries for assistance to individuals and families that need assistance in meeting the most basic needs of people - food, clothing, shelter and emotional and spiritual support - in coordination and collaboration with other social service organizations in Juneau for 2010.

Love INC is able to leverage each dollar of support to over $7 of assistance to our fellow citizens. Through community support and support from our member churches, many people's lives are improved in a way that they have hope for a better life, making Juneau a caring community and an outstanding place to live and raise families.
