Movies

"The Wedding Planner," (PG-13) starts Friday and shows nightly at 7:10 at Glacier Cinemas, with second shows Friday and Saturday at 9:20 and matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2:10 and 4:20 p.m.

"Chocolat," (PG-13) starts Friday and shows nightly at 6:50 at Glacier Cinemas, with second shows Friday and Saturday at 9:10 and matinees Saturday and Sunday at 1:50 and 4:10 p.m.

"Thirteen Days," (PG-13) shows tonight at 7:10 at Glacier Cinemas, moving downtown to the 20th Century Twin beginning Friday and showing nightly at 7:10, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2:10 p.m.

"Antitrust," (PG-13) ends tonight, last show at 7 the 20th Century Twin.

"Billy Elliot," (R) shows tonight at 7 at Glacier Cinemas, switching to 6:40 nightly beginning Friday, with second shows Friday and Saturday at 9 and matinees Saturday and Sunday at 1:40 and 4 p.m.

"Castaway," (PG -13) shows nightly at 7:20 at the 20th Century Twin, with matinees at 2:20 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"Miss Congeniality," (PG -13) shows tonight at 6:30 at Glacier Cinemas, with second shows Friday and Saturday at 8:40 and matinees at 1:30 and 3:40 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"What Women Want," (PG-13) ends tonight, last show at 6:40 at Glacier Cinemas.

"Dude, Where's My Car," (PG -13) shows tonight at 6:50 at Glacier Cinemas, switching to 7 p.m. nightly, with second shows Friday and Saturday at 8:50 p.m., and matinees at 2 and 3:50 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media,." (not rated) 7:30 tonight and 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Back Room cinema. Tickets $8, includes $5 food or drink credit.

Theater

"Gypsy," Perseverance Theatre musical, shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturdays, 6 p.m. Sundays, through Feb. 18. Admission $13-$22, depending on show.

"Fry Tales," Perseverance Theatre production staged at Centennial Hall, opens 7 p.m. Friday. Regular shows 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 7 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, through Feb. 4. Admission $11 adults, $9 for those 18 and under.

"The Foreigner," Juneau Douglas Little Theatre production at the Palace Theatre, opens 8 p.m. Friday, shows 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, through Feb. 10. Admission $14 Friday and Saturday, $10 Thursdayy

Theatre Fest, 7 p.m. Juneau-Douglas High School Auditorium, JDHS drama department. Three short plays, "The Way of the Gum," "Of God" and "Snow White and Friends." Free, one show only.

Concerts

SamulNori Korean drummers, 8 p.m. Saturday, Juneau-Douglas High School auditorium. Admission $18, $14 students and seniors, $55 family pass, tickets at Hearthside and Rainy Day, $2 more at the door.

Live Day, noon-6 p.m. Saturday, The Back Room at the Silverbow, live music, poetry and storytelling from a variety of performers, to be broadcast live on KTOO FM. Free.

Special Events

Ancient Korean drumming techniques, master class taught by drummer Kim Duk Soo, leader of SamulNori, and other virtuoso percussionists, 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, JuneauDouglas High School dance studio (behind the stage in the auditorium) $15, $10 for students. Dance
