Protesting power prices

Letter to the editor

Can any one tell me and the people of Ketchikan why the electric prices in Ketchikan are so high when there are five hydroelectric sources of power that have each the capability of power to the whole town?

The simple solution would be to build a power line crossing on the east side of Revilla and also a connection bridge and road to Hyder/Stewart and eliminate the ludicrous shipping prices that eliminate decent living costs. Ketchikan could become wealthy supplying the grid rather than overcharging people struggling to make a living in this Republican economy.

I do believe it is time for Alaskans to wake up. Vote for a people person and not a corporate GOP money monger who preys on citizens.
