The top of the mountain at Eaglecrest Ski Area had 97 inches of snow, and the base had 22 inches, as of Saturday. The snow was granular, sugary-like turning on the groomed runs, with a variable hardpack off-piste.
Runs groomed for Saturday were:
Easy Bowl, Williwaw, Otter Slide, Cheechako, Mother Lode, Super G, Hilary's, Ego, Logjam, Runout for Raven, Sneaky, Trickster, Sourdough, Muskeg and Dolly Varden.
The Upper Hilda/Troy Loop was trackset Saturday. On the Lower Meadow Loop, just the outer perimeter was trackset Saturday because of minimal snow coverage. Some spring-like obstacles are appearing, but the trails are generally good skiing with granular snow, the ski area said.
