Registration is underway for the 19th annual Buckwheat Ski Classic, to be held Saturday, March 26, north of Skagway.
The cross-country ski event - with 10-, 25- and 50-kilometer races - will take place along the South Klondike Highway at Log Cabin, British Columbia. There also will be a 5K kids race and a 5K snowshoe race at Log Cabin, and pre- and post-race events in Skagway.
The entry fee is $50 for all races except the kids race, which is $20 for children 12 and under. In addition to the race, entry fees include race-day breakfast and dinner, the post-race dance and a t-shirt. There is a $10 late fee for registrations received after March 16.
Entry forms and a complete race schedule are available on the Web at http://www.skagwaynews.com/BSCskirace.html.
