Thanks for assisting in another toy drive for foster children

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, Office of Children's Services, wishes to thank the following businesses and organizations for their assistance in another successful toy drive for foster children in the Juneau area.

Thanks to the Valley Rotary Club who helped out a special family and donated many needed gifts to older children. We also wish to thank Hearthside Books and Toys, which has assisted us for the past nine years by collecting the donated gifts with such dedication and cheerfulness.

Special thanks also go to Costco, which has assisted in the effort for the past three years by putting up a Christmas tree and collecting gifts for our community's foster children.

We would also like to extend special thanks to all the people of Juneau, who through their unbelievable generosity have made a huge difference every year to our foster children; to every individual and family who came to a tree and chose a child to provide a gift for at Christmas; to the many folks who called and offered to "adopt" families for gift giving and or offer their assistance during the holiday season. We appreciate all the goodwill and kindness to these children. Thank you for being such a caring community.
