As a longtime Juneauite who spent many hours in the Scottish Rite Temple attending Eastern Star and Rainbow Girl functions I say, "Bravo Juneau."
I also worked a session in the Capitol and saw firsthand how much the additional space and updating was needed. Working that one session gave me a better appreciation for the time and effort put in by our legislators and their staff. Once I had to stand in the hallway because every available space but my office was filled with meetings and schedules had to be kept.
Hopefully, the new Thomas B. Stewart Legislative Office Building and the skybridge between the buildings will help demonstrate to state legislators and to the rest of Alaska that Juneau is committed to keeping the capital, and that we appreciate their being here and supporting us.
