Once again I find evidence of the rampant hedonism that exists among our leaders. "Several projects on the table including a Valley pool and recreation center."! Give me a break! The larger school is the one we need, and more, much more than any pool or recreation center! So we sacrifice the larger school to the almighty god of recreation?
Every intelligent individual knows that smaller student bodies make for better management of students and better management of students makes for better education of students. The more classrooms we have, the smaller those class sizes need to be. And the higher quality the building, the more likely the students are to want to keep it looking nice. A little extra investment in the future now will likely cost us much less in the long run with less vandalism and better ability to offer quality education to our students, as well as less need for expansion later. Do we really want to need a third high school in 10 years?
