captain and crew of the fishing boat Cobra gather Monday on the deck at New Thomsen Harbor in Sitka after returning from a trip. The fishermen pulled in more than 10,000 pounds of groundfish on the Fairweather grounds, about 100 miles north of Sitka. The boat's skipper, Kendall Folkert, at left, said the sizable catch in the hold kept the boat from becoming too top-heavy when they hit rough water and freezing spray on the return trip.
