Beginning Monday, Jan. 31, all users of the Downtown Transportation Center and Marine Parking Garage must pay to park.
Parking meters have been installed at the Downtown Transportation Center and Marine Parking Garage, and they only accept credit cards, debit cards, or coins as payment. Vehicle license plate numbers must be entered at the time of payment.
All spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis. Hourly, daily, seven-day, and 30-day passes can be purchased from the meter, but the pass is not transferable to another vehicle. The 30 day and yearly permits that are transferable can be purchased at the Parks & Recreation Office located on the second floor in City Hall.
Parking will continue to be free on weekends, holidays and from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. during the week unless otherwise posted.
