Title Insurance Agency escrow officer Debbie Stephens goes over papers with Thomas Dahl, board president for the Senior Citizen Support Services, center, and Blake Kazama, executive director of the Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority, as they transfer the ownership of Fireweed Place to the housing authority Tuesday afternoon. The 67-unit senior apartment complex was on the edge of foreclosure until the Alaska Housing Finance Corp. agreed last month to a financing plan that allowed the sale. The building will remain senior housing, and Fireweed's board of directors will stay on in an advisory capacity, according to Barbra Holian, a communication officer with THRHA in Juneau.
