Friday's show, "An Evening with FLY," will include:
"Blue Air," music by Schuler, B.B. King, The Ojays. Three pieces about the state of being blue-blue jazz, having the blues, girlfriend blues.
"Cool Pops," music by James Brown, The Flamingos, Michael Jackson and Nat King Cole. A tongue-in-cheek look at the pop star icons of the '50s, '60s and '70s.
"Out of Context," music by Antonio Vivaldi. When hiphop meets Vivaldi, what happens is out of the ordinary.
"Mambo," music by Wes Montgomery, Dave Barbour and Yma Sumac. Revisiting Latin tunes of the '40s.
"Earth Wind and FLY," music by Earth Wind and Fire. FLY travels back in time to the 1870s to groove to music by Earth Wind & Fire.
"Eclair," music by Propellerheads, Debussy, Kodo drummers and live b-boxing. Flags, skateboards, stretch fabric and hiphop to a surprising musical mix.
