JUNEAU - The Assembly voted Monday to introduce an ordinance at its next regular meeting appropriating $8.1 million for improvements at Juneau International Airport.

The city expects the money to be matched by federal government grants and comes from Passenger Facility Charges.

City manager Rod Swope said the money would be used to improve the terminal and buy snow removal equipment.
