In an A1 story in Thursday's Empire about halibut fishing quotas, the residence and organizational affiliation of Kathy Hansen was incorrect. She is a Juneau fisherman who is the executive director of the Southeast Alaska Fisherman's Alliance and a spokeswoman for the Halibut Coalition.

An A1 story in Wednesday's Empire identified former cruise ship advisory panel member Gershon Cohen, of Haines, as a scientist. Cohen has a master's degree in biology and a doctorate degree in environmental policy, but should have been identified as an advocate for clean water issues or as an environmentalist.
