Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


At 6:55 a.m. today, a 47-year-old man on West 10th Street reported the theft of a Pentax camera sometime in the past month.

Vehicle accidents:

At 12:52 p.m. Tuesday, a 1999 Chevrolet operated by a 50-year-old man was plowing and backed into a 1992 Buick operated by a 57-year-old man on Peoples Wharf downtown. The Buick sustained $700 damage.

At 1:33 p.m. Tuesday, a Case snow blower operated by a 50-year-old man hit a parked 1990 Ford Aerostar at Nowell and Sitka streets, causing $3,500 in damage to the van.

At 6:19 p.m. Tuesday, a 1987 Ford driven by a 70-year-old woman was struck by a 2001 Toyota driven by a 48-year-old man on Shell Simmons Drive. The woman was cited for failure to yield. The Ford sustained $1,500 damage, and the Toyota sustained $2,500 damage.

At 4 a.m. today, a road grader operated by a 57-year-old man struck an unoccupied 1990 Pontiac Grand Am on South Seward Street. The car sustained $500 damage.

Hit-and-run incidents:

At 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, a 25-year-old woman reported discovering damage to the front passenger side of her 1992 Isuzu Rodeo on 5th Street in Douglas. The damage was caused by an unknown vehicle sometime in the past week.

Crime Line

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for the theft of a laser leveler from a Douglas construction site on Dec. 27. The leveler, a Spectra Model LSC00, has an estimated value of $2,500.
