Nellie Kunz graduates from Career Academy in Anchorage

Nellie Elizabeth Kunz graduated from the Career Academy in Anchorage on Sept. 30, 2003. She is now a certified medical assistant after completing an intensive course on medical procedures and terminology, computer usage and medical office procedures. She is employed at SEARHC.

Ramona Mojica receives CDA credential for work with kids

Ramona Reyes Mojica of Juneau has been awarded a child development associate credential in recognition of outstanding work with young children. The credential was awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., which represents the early childhood profession.

Elysia Spencer cited for academic achievement

Elysia Sophia Spencer of Juneau, a Dartmouth College student in the class of 2007, has been cited for outstanding academic achievement in anthropology during the fall 2003 term.

She is the daughter of Larry A. Spencer and Carola A. Thompson.

Matthews named to dean's list at Liberty University

Heather Matthews of Juneau was named to the dean's list at Liberty University for the fall 2003 semester.

Matthews was one of 1,482 undergraduates who earned dean's list recognition.

Liberty Christian is a private, liberal arts college in Lynchburg, Va.
