Phyllis J. Nauska, age 71 of Wrangell, died Jan. 27, 2011 in Juneau, at home surrounded by family and friends.
She was born Aug. 10, 1939, in Kake, daughter of the late Patricia Wilson and Fred Thomas.
She went to Mount Edgecumbe High School. She married Fredrick Charles Nauska II on March 16, 1970 in Petersburg.
She is survived by her husband Fredrick C. Nauska II; daughters Deanna, Ginger, Camille, Angela and Barbara; sons George and Fred Jr.; daughter-in-law Denise Nauska; 26 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, all from Juneau.
Nauska was preceded in death by her parents Patricia Wilson and Fred Louie Thomas and daughters Paula, Patricia Erfurt, and Edna Ettinger.
A service will be held Monday at the Church of God - Glacier Valley, 8497 Thunder Mountain Road. A reception will follow in the church, dishes of all kinds are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be dropped off at Wells Fargo in Mendenhall Valley, 9150 Glacier Highway.
