JUNEAU - Anchorage resident and businessman Ronald W. Miller was appointed executive director of the Alaska Industrial Development & Export Authority/Alaska Energy Authority by the board of directors Thursday.
The board also elected incoming member Mike Barry, an economic consultant in Anchorage, as chairman and Department of Community and Economic Development Commissioner Edgar Blatchford as vice chairman.
Miller, who is an attorney and businessman, has been an exporter of U.S. consumer goods to the Russian Far East, was a co-founder of a joint venture responsible for a $50 million housing project on Sakhalin Island, and has served as a special advisor to the North Pacific Fishery Management Council.
Miller has held positions in the Governor's Office of International Trade and as director of adjudications for the Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission.
