Synopsis: In this remake of the Hong Kong film "Jian Gui," a woman who receives an eye transplant is able to see into the supernatural world.

"There Will Be Blood" (R) ★★★★

Synopsis: A story about family, greed, religion and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the oil business.

"Terror's Advocate" (NR) ★★★ ½

Where: Gold Town Nickelodeon. Times: Shows Thursday-Saturday, 7 p.m.; Sunday, 4, 7 p.m. Thursday's show includes one free bag of popcorn.

Synopsis: A documentary on Jacques Vergés, the controversial lawyer who defended unpopular figures such as Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie and Holocaust denier Roger Garaudy.

Synopsis: A modern-day musical about a busker and an immigrant and their eventful week as they write, rehearse and record songs that tell their love story.

Synopsis: After hard years in exile for a crime he didn't commit, Sweeney Todd returns to London to find his wife dead and his daughter in the hands of an evil judge. In his anger, Todd goes on a murderous rampage.

Synopsis: After serving as a bridesmaid 27 times, a young woman wrestles with the idea of standing by her sister's side as her sibling marries the man she's secretly in love with.

Synopsis: Two terminally ill men head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die.
