Consortium to host cancer forums in Sitka, Juneau and Klawock

JUNEAU - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium is teaming up with the Alaska Native Medical Center and the Alaska Native Epidemiology Center to present a series of free cancer forums from Feb. 3 to 5 in Juneau, Sitka and Klawock.

The "Knowledge is Power! Learn All About Cancer: Community Cancer Forum" events will feature guest speakers Dr. Greg Marino, the lead oncologist at ANMC, and Janet Kelly, of ANEC. Local SEARHC physicians and other health care workers also will attend the events. The events will feature presentations from the two guest speakers, followed by a question and answer period. Refreshments will be served.
