Police connect 3 incidents near Anchorage schools

Posted: Sunday, January 31, 2010

ANCHORAGE - Anchorage Police say three early morning incidents near elementary schools during the past two weeks were abduction attempts.

And they believe the same man was driving all three times when young girls were hit by a vehicle near their school in East Anchorage. In all three incidents, the driver hit a girl with his car and then tried to get them into his car.

The first episode was Jan. 14, the second Thursday and the third Friday. All three incidents occurred between 7:30 and 8:45 in the morning.

Schools Superintendent Carol Comeau says a dangerous situation is unfolding in the community.
