Capital City Fire and Rescue fought a residential fire Saturday night at 2895 Mendenhall Loop Road, according to a release from CCFR.

Firefighters arrived at the scene at about 11:30 p.m., according to the Juneau Police Department’s dispatch office. Once there, they saw smoke coming out of the home’s roof eaves.

A halogen lamp is believed to have caused the fire in the home’s living room. Fire damage was limited to that room, but heat and smoke damage permeated the home.

No one was home at the time of the fire, the release states.
