Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested David Borenin, 52, on charges of drunken driving at 6:20 p.m. Sunday on 10th Street near Egan Drive downtown. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

• Police arrested Samuel Villanueva, 51, on a charge of drunken driving at 11:48 p.m. Sunday on Mendenhall Loop Road and Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. They lodged him at the state prison and impounded the vehicle he was driving.


• Police arrested a man, 19, on charges of fourth-degree theft, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of reckless endangerment, at 3:01 p.m. Sunday after responding to a call of a shoplifting incident in the 600 block of West Willoughby Avenue.

Vehicle burglaries:

• At 7:52 a.m. Monday, a woman reported her Toyota sport-utility vehicle was broken into and a car stereo was removed while the vehicle was parked at Gastineau Avenue downtown.

• At 8:14 a.m. Monday, a woman reported her vehicle had been started by several juveniles in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue downtown.

• At 9:34 a.m. Monday, a woman reported her 1991 Dodge truck was broken into. An in-dash compact-disc player and speakers were reported stolen.

• At 11:33 a.m. Monday a woman reported a car stereo was stolen from a 1987 Toyota pickup parked at Seventh and Harris streets downtown.


• At 9:20 a.m. Monday, two side windows were reportedly smashed in a 1992 Ford Explorer that had clutch problems and was left in the Cope Park lot.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 2:50 p.m. Sunday on Glacier Highway about two miles from downtown after citing the driver, a man, 23, on a charge of driving without a valid license.
