Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Automobile accidents:

• A 17-year-old boy was cited at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday for basic speeding near Glacier Highway after he drove a Chevy pickup into another vehicle. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

• A 56-year-old man was cited at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday for speeding after he totaled his 2004 Chevy in a single-vehicle accident near 4200 Mendenhall Loop Road.

Burglary:

• A 44-year-old man reported at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday that someone entered his home near 600 Lund Street and stole his television and DVD player. Losses were estimated at $450.

Theft:

• A 43-year-old woman reported at 9:51 a.m. Wednesday that her purse, cell phone and some prescription medicine were stolen from her unlocked car parked near West Ninth Street. Losses were estimated at $180.

• Police received a report at 12:59 p.m. Tuesday about the theft of car stereos from three vehicles parked at 5300 Commercial Boulevard. Total losses were estimated at $700.

• A 37-year-old man was arrested at 5:24 p.m. Tuesday and charged with theft and misconduct involving a controlled substance near 2200 Jordan Avenue. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vandalism:

• A 45-year-old man reported at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday that two windows on his 1990 Subaru were broken at Douglas Harbor. Damage was estimated at $1,500.
