Posted: Sunday, February 01, 2009

ANCHOR POINT - Four horses on the Kenai Peninsula have been placed into protective care.

Alaska State Troopers say they responded last week to a report that the horses had been neglected at a home near Anchor Point.

Troopers say two of the horses were starving and two others were in poor condition.

The horse owners, 25-year-old Katy Campbell and 30-year-old Wesley Campbell of Happy Valley, were issued summons to appear in court on two counts of animal cruelty.
