Organization description: The American Red Cross provides relief to victims of disasters, facilitates emergency communication to military families and prepares people to respond to emergencies through public health and safety education.

Volunteer positions available: American Red Cross CPR and First Aid volunteer instructors are needed to teach life-saving skills in the community. Disaster Action Team members are also needed to provide immediate, identifiable emergency services to those affected by disaster and emergency workers.

Prerequisites: CPR and First Aid instructors must have current CPR and First Aid certifications and attend the instructor class. To become a DAT member, volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation, fill out a Volunteer/DSHR Application, complete the background check, attend a DAT Orientation and attend required training.
