Thank you for help in Montessori celebration
Sound off on the important issues at
Juneau's Montessori community members were very pleased with the successful celebration event of "100 Years of Montessori Education Worldwide" we held Jan. 6. Our sincere thanks go to Nugget Mall for the wonderfully accessible space and their Bea Findley for responsive assistance, the staff of Douglas Public Library and the UAS Egan Library for display spaces, Mary Gubatayao-Hagen for window design assistance, KINY, KTOO, the Juneau Empire and Capital City Weekly for public notice and event coverage, the Montessori teacher/guides, many parent and student volunteers who brought the Glass Classroom to life, and especially all the community members who attended and shared our joy!
Thank you, Helping Hands, for the food
I would like to take this time and send a thank you to Betty at Helping Hands for helping make it possible for me to take a ton-truck load of food to Hoonah and help the nice folks that live there. I first of all would like to make it quite clear that the people of Hoonah have never asked for any help in any way. But because my own adult children live there and have, from time to time, found it hard to make ends meet, I felt the need to help them. Helping Hands has made it possible for me to take food over to those who could use a helping hand from time to time, and I have made two trips so far and have two more to make. So again, thank you, Betty and the good work that you and your organization provides.
