The free application forfederal student aid, or FAFSA form, is the first part of the financial aid application for almost every school in the country. By doing it at this time of year, students meet early filingdeadlines. Said James Beedle, "When I went to college, I lucked out and won the Golden North Salmon Derby which got me the money to go to school... that shows you how cheap it was to go to school back then."
