JUNEAU - A trade show for small businesses and entrepreneurs will take place Wednesday from 1-6 p.m. at Centennial Hall.
The Business Resource Expo, organized by the Juneau Economic Development Council, is free and open to the public. It will include seven workshops and 30 exhibitors.
Workshops include: Free and Subscription-based Web Services for your Small Business, presented by Jeremy Hansen of Hansen Gress; Juneau Marketing Smorgasbord with Rick Wolk, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and MBA Director at University of Alaska Southeast; Loan Financing for your Growing Business, by Eva Bornstein of JEDC; an AKSourceLink demonstration by Linda Ketchum; Self-Assessment for Small Business Start-up, presented by Sonja Koukel of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service; Writing Your Business Plan, conducted by Dennis Girardot of the Alaska Small Business Development Center; and Using Print Media for Marketing with Adam Furlong of Alaska Litho.
Workshops will be conducted twice and at staggered times to increase opportunities to participate.
Resource exhibitors cover banking, accounting, print and broadcast media, information technology, business services, printing, tourism, events and rentals, and other areas.
The Expo will close with a reception hosted by Southeast Conference from 5:30-6 p.m.
