Posted: Tuesday, February 02, 2010

JUNEAU - The state House has passed a bill adding sexual assault to the cases in which judges can issue protective orders in Alaska.

Current law allows for protective orders in domestic violence and stalking cases. This extends that allowance to sexual assaults.

The measure now moves to the Senate.
