Wilfred Jordan Baptiste died Jan. 14, 2005, in Las Vegas.
He was born Nov. 12, 1930 in Honolulu and lived there for 51 years. During that time he was employed as a front-end crane operator and a security guard for Don Ho.
He then moved to Juneau and lived for seven years working as security for Channel Sanitation. He retired to Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Isabell Baptiste of Honolulu.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Baptiste; his son, Wilfred J. Baptiste Jr. and wife Sandra; his daughter, Belinda Winneford Ishikawa; his brothers, Howard Baptiste and wife Linda and Allen Baptiste and his wife Patty; and grandchildren Justin and Shana.
