Organization description: The National Senior Service Corporation has three volunteer programs: The Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) and the Senior Companion Program (SCP), which are for people over 60, and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), for individuals 55 and older who are interested in volunteering. The FGP and SCP programs provide a stipend is for income eligible volunteers.

Years of service: 34.

Volunteer positions available: Foster Grandparent for the Head Start Program in the valley, Senior, Senior Companion for in-home respite, RSVP volunteer.

Hours: Times vary depending on volunteer position.

Training: Orientation and training will be provided according to volunteer position.

Special requirements: Background checks are required and provided by NSSC.

In-kind donations: Clothing, office furniture, computers, etc.; and tokens of appreciation, such as movie passes, gift certificates and appreciation gifts.
