Young makes dean's list
Juneau resident Hilary Starr Young made the dean's list for the 2005 fall semester at University of Montana in Missoula.
To be placed on the dean's list a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average and receive grades of A or B in at least nine credits.
Treston named to dean's list
Megan Treston of Juneau made the 2005 fall semester dean's list at the University of Portland in Oregon. Students need at least a 3.5 grade-point average to make the list. She is a freshman majoring in nursing.
NW Nazarene releases dean's list
Northwest Nazarene University has announced the names of students included on the dean's list for the 2005-2006 fall semester. To be eligible for the academic honor, a student must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average while taking at least 12 graded credit hours of classes.
Alaska students named to NNU's dean's list include: Jami Epley of Anchor Point; Jeremy Wiese of Chugiak; John Bailar and Hannah Taylor of Eagle River; Monica Peters of Homer; Heidi Laporte of Iliamna; Thomas Derbesy and Megan Simila of Juneau; Tyler McCarty of Sitka; Seth Waltemyer of Soldotna; and Julie Richardson of Valdez.
Medgyesy makes dean's list
Former Juneau resident Elizabeth Medgyesy, a nursing major in the School of Health Professions at Shenandoah University, was named to the fall 2005 dean's list. Shenandoah University is a comprehensive Level VI university with an enrollment of about 3,300 students in five schools. Medgyesy future plans are to work as a registered nurse in Alaska.
