FAIRBANKS - Gov. Sarah Palin has appointed a former president of the Alaska Outdoors Council to the state Board of Game.
Teresa Sager-Albaugh of Tok was named to the board Wednesday, along with Lew Bradley of Palmer.
They replace Ron Somerville of Juneau and Paul Johnson of Unalakleet.
Both Sager-Albaugh and Bradley are proponents of predator control to increase moose and caribou populations.
Somerville resigned this week after six years on the board.
Johnson was the lone Alaska Native on the board and his absence marks the first time since 1976 that there will be no Native representation on the group that sets hunting and trapping seasons.
