The Alaska Learning Network — a consortium of school districts, the Southeast Regional Resource Center, or SERRC, and the Alaska Development Network — recently hired Steve Pine as its first director.
Pine served from 2008 to 2010 as a principal and superintendent in Hoonah, where he increased student and staff use of technology. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and special education endorsement from Western Oregon University and an Master of Arts in educational leadership from the University of Alaska Southeast.
The Alaska Learning Network was designed by SERRC, a private non-profit agency that provides educational services to every school district in the state.
